She is the Artistic Director of Pregones + Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, with venues in The Bronx and in the Theater District in Manhattan. She is a director and dramaturg specializing in theater adaptations of literary and non-literary texts with live, original music. Recent productions she has created or re-staged for the company include The Red Rose, Torched! and Harlem Hellfigthers On A Latin Beat. She has worked on creative collaborations with artists in Kentucky, New Orleans, San Francisco, Belgium, the Slovak Republic and Perú.  Rosalba is a tenured member of the Tony Awards Nominating Committee, and awards received include: 2025 Gish Prize and the Medal of Honor by the Academia de Artes Escénicas de España, 2020 Creative Capital Award, 2018 Doris Duke Artist Award among others. She is a Faculty Member of the National Assoc. of Latino Arts and Cultures’ Leadership and Advocacy Institutes; and of the Emerging Leadership Institute of the National Association of Performing Arts Professionals.
